My journey took me deep into yoga, meditation, Reiki, energy work, sacred sexuality, ecstatic dance, and embodiment practices. Yet despite all I was learning, the deeper patterns in my life remained unchanged. Another painful relationship ending brought me face-to-face with something I had overlooked: my shadow. The parts of myself I had hid, suppressed, rejected and projected. I was still being jerked around by my past, and it was calling for attention—and healing.
That realization led me to Body Psychotherapy.
It was a transformative experience. After just a few months of sessions, something shifted not just emotionally, but physically. One day, during a run with my daughter, I reached down and touched my toes—something I hadn’t been able to do since childhood! I hadn’t stretched in years. It was in that moment I truly understood: the body remembers, and it heals.
Eventually, the demands of a long career in science caught up with me. Burnout—mental, emotional, and physical—forced me to pause. My body gave me no choice. It was time to listen deeply. I moved to sunny Queensland, gave myself space to recover, and followed the quiet but certain call toward my heart’s work: supporting others on their healing journeys through the wisdom of the body.
Today, I live a simple, nourishing life. I meditate and swim in the ocean every day, eat cleanly, move mindfully, and stay connected to my breath. I understand how easy it is to become disembodied in our fast-paced, intellectually driven world—and how that disconnection can manifest as disharmony and dis-ease.
Through body psychotherapy, I help people come home to themselves—through movement, breath, and the courage to feel.
If you're curious about working together, I invite you to get in touch.

About
Chris Glover - Body Psychotherapist
Hi, I’m Chris Glover. I’m a father, partner, and a lifelong student of both the world around me and the world within.
From an early age, I was driven by a deep curiosity about how things work. That passion led me to study Physics at university and eventually pursue a PhD. Just weeks into that journey, standing inside the vast and humming Stanford Linear Accelerator Laboratory, I knew I’d found my path. For the next 25 years, I dedicated myself to experimental physics—learning, innovating, and working across the globe, including nearly two decades spent in Melbourne. I called this my heads work.
But in my mid-30s, everything began to shift. Despite a successful career, I found myself increasingly disconnected—from myself, my family, and my sense of purpose. When my marriage ended, it triggered a profound inner reckoning. The labels I had worn—scientist, husband, father—no longer felt like the truth of who I was. I set out to discover my authentic self.
